The 3,000 square metre warehouse is controlled via a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system which in conjunction with the building management system (BMS) maintains the temperature within the set limits of NMT 25⁰C.

Our warehouse has been designed to store quarantine and released finished product, segregate rejected or return goods, have an area to perform secondary packaging, and storage if finished goods that in a caged storage area that are scheduled. All our products are stored to prevent the risk of contamination and positioned to allow for inspection and cleaning of the areas.

To minimize the risk of error, logistics companies and warehouse operators deploy systems that help them manage the warehouse – this is called WMS (Warehouse Management System). Noumed’s uses SAP to manage our WHS.
An efficient supply chain depends on an efficient warehouse. For the pharmaceutical market, monitoring the usable life end date is a priority. Warehouse personnel have access to databases where information on expiry dates for each product is stored. It is their responsibility to deliver the right batch to the customer. This is why our warehouse workers are trained and focused on getting the job done properly.
It is the Warehouse personnel’s responsibility to verify that all incoming deliveries are thoroughly checked to ensure that the correct items have been receipted. These checks include, but are not limited to, Batch Number, Quantity, Supplier, Expiry Dating, Evidence of Tampering and General Conditions.
Warehouse Management System (WMS), clearly identifies the components, using a defined labelling system, and finally stores the products within an SAP (Systems, Applications and Product data) suggested storage location.
Our GMP-compliant temperature-controlled warehouse has a storage area for finished, packaged materials ready for distribution including a caged area and cool room for specific scheduled and refrigerated products. All our products are stored to prevent the risk of contamination and positioned to allow for inspection and cleaning of the areas. There is capacity for over 5,000 pallets.
Shipping & Distribution
All shipments of Products from our approved CMO’s are delivered to our warehouse located in Adelaide. Each shipment is inspected, and checked before being shipped to its final destination, the customer. Noumed take responsibility of all goods arriving in Australia by ensuring that all Import/Export, Customs and Quality parameters have been met and maintain our mantra that each medicine reaching a patient is safe, effective and of acceptable quality.
